Hockey Dad announce ‘Rebuild Repeat’ Australian tour for June and July

Hitting the road later this year, Hockey Dad will be joined by special guests Militarie Gun and The Belair Lip Bombs

Hockey Dad, the acclaimed Australian duo, have just announced thier highly-anticipated ‘Rebuild Repeat’ Australian tour.

The tour, set to commemorate the release of their forthcoming album ‘Rebuild Repeat’ scheduled for June 14, will kick off in Perth on Friday, June 21 at The Rechabite, before making its way to Adelaide on Saturday, June 22 at the Hindley Street Music Hall. Brisbane is next on the agenda, with a performance scheduled for Saturday, June 29 at The Fortitude Music Hall, followed by Melbourne on July 5 at Margaret Court Arena, and concluding in Sydney on Saturday, July 6 at the Hordern Pavilion.

Joining Hockey Dad on selected dates will be the dynamic LA-based band, Militarie Gun, known for their unique blend of punk and hardcore infused with a melodic twist. Meanwhile, Melbourne’s very own indie rock outfit, The Belair Lip Bombs, will be gracing the stage for all tour dates, promising a diverse musical experience for attendees.

Reflecting on their journey as a band, Zach Stephenson, guitarist and lead vocalist of Hockey Dad, expressed, “The feeling on stage playing remains the same over all this time. Having garnered widespread acclaim with their previous album ‘Brain Candy,’ which peaked at #2 on the ARIA charts in 2020, Hockey Dad has solidified their status as Windang’s pride and joy. Now, with the imminent release of their fourth album, ‘Rebuild Repeat,’ slated for June 14, the duo continues to push creative boundaries, promising an invigorating new direction in their music.

The lead single from the upcoming album, ‘Base Camp,’ produced in collaboration with Alex Burnett and Oli Horton, has already garnered praise for its infectious melody and uplifting vibe. Additionally, ‘Still Have Room,’ the first taste of ‘Rebuild Repeat’ for fans, made waves in triple j’s annual Hottest 100 countdown of 2023, securing the 45th spot.
