The record of genre-defying music is inspired by goddesses from the diverse cultural backgrounds of five female creatives
Channelling ancient tales of fierce battles, shaman dances, journeys to the after-life, and a moth goddess singing the most beautiful song of all time, The Cloud Maker harnesses the power of these archetypal stories to transport listeners across time and space.

The Cloud Maker a collective of female creatives and this project gathers together their own strengths and takes on the powerful themes inspired from the goddesses from each of their cultures.
The group today announced the date for their debut, self-titled album as February 28 and have released its first single and video, ‘The Godly River’.
Aviva Endean (Bass clarinet, Harmonic flutes and electronics) leads and produces this project which is shared with Te Kahureremoa Taumata (Voice/Taonga Pūoro- Maori Singing Treasures), Freya Schack-Arnott (Cello/Nyckelharpa- Nordic fiddle), Maria Moles (Drums) and Sunny Kim (Voice) who each share their music, stories and expression to channel ancient bloodlines and breathe new life into old stories.
The Cloud Maker’s debut performance in 2022 was awarded the APRA AMCOS Art Music Award for Performance of the Year.
