Geelong’s Splatters, Australia’s only cheese train, is running daily all-you-can-eat cheese sessions

The Geelong ‘cheese worshipping’ restaurant and bar is hosting all you can eat cheese until the end of March.

Nothing can get cheddar than this.

Spawned by cheesemonger Jo Bangles and wife Tennille Moisel from Geelong’s local business Splatters, one of our favourite online grazing stores, Geelong’s late-night ‘cheese worshipping’ restaurant and bar opened its doors on Pakington Street in 2022 becoming home to Australia’s very first ‘cheese train’.

Keep up with the latest food and booze news across the region here.

Transforming the former pharmacy on Pakington Street into an immaculately styled venue that allows locals to indulge in the world of Brie, blue, and burrata in a thriving and central location, the ‘Splatters Cheese Bar’ has brought back its famed ‘All You Can Cheese’ sessions. The bottomless sessions will run daily (from 11am Friday, Saturday and Sunday) until the end of March, where you can indulge in as many train plates as you can.

For just $39 per person, punters will take a seat bar side for them to gaze longingly into the perpetually rotating belt of cheesy goodness where they’ll have 90 minutes to eat as many plates of cheese, mouth-watering charcuterie and sweet and savoury accompaniments as they can.

Like a sushi train, cheese lovers will be able to simply take their pick from a tonne of delicious cheese varieties direct from the 20m conveyor belt, offering a premiere grazing experience like no other. There will be more than 20 different offerings of Australian artisan cheese to choose from – and yes, there’s even vegan cheese on offer!

There are also cocktails, local wines and beers available to complement your cheese feast.

The all-you-can-eat-cheese was originally a promotion that ran for January but due to popular demand has been extended to March 31 2023.
