Stock up on beautiful one-off cups, bowls, spoons, pots, vases and more from local creators – just in time for Christmas.

Dedicated to local ceramic makers, you can shop one-off ceramic coffee cups, bowls, spoons, pots, vases and more from more than 20 independent artisans this December with Geelong’s very first ceramics market.

The market, which will take over the beautiful space at Boom Gallery’s ‘Big Boom’, is curated by two local makers Elizabeth Bell Ceramics and Pour and Plate, who are volunteering their time and resources after recognising that there was nothing of this nature in the area for local artists and lovers of pottery.

Taking place on Saturday, December 3 from 10am to 4pm, the market is an opportunity to support local artists and small business owners from Geelong, Bellarine and Surfcoast region. Featuring both experienced and rising talents, the makers will showcase their individual styles and handmade functional creations. You’ll find the likes of Claire Gorst Studio, Takeawei, Mafia Thing, Lauren Reynolds Ceramics, Alchemy of Clay, Elizabeth Bell Ceramics and so much more.

And while supporting local businesses is top of mind, this will be the perfect opportunity to shop for Christmas presents ahead of the holidays.

On top of browsing through the selection of ceramics, you can also hit up the surrounding local businesses. Brother Lawrence is a must for delicious bagels and coffee.

Entry is just a gold coin donation which will be donated to Geelong Mums.

The Geelong Ceramic Market is on at Boom Gallery’s “Big Boom” space (5 Rutland Street, Newtown) on Saturday, December 3 from 10am-4pm.
