In response to the COVID–19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, the Geelong Gallery has suspended the delivery of all public programs, education programs, events and outreach programs, including the Geelong Design Week program, until at least Monday 13 April, and will temporarily close until this time.
Geelong Gallery’s priority is to protect and safeguard our visitors, members, staff and volunteers and as such we are taking the precautionary measure to close the Gallery to support wider efforts to contain COVID–19 in our community.
The Gallery’s Senior Management Team and Executive Committee of the Board are meeting regularly to assess the situation and are taking their lead from federal and state health authorities, Victoria’s Chief Medical Officer and our institutional colleagues.
The gallery will provide updates regarding our return to operations (including future exhibitions and programs) via our website, e-communications and through social media channels over the coming weeks as the situation evolves and in response to Government advice.
Any tickets that have been sold for The Look exhibition over this period of closure will be refunded in full. The Gallery will be contacting all ticket holders to notify patrons of cancellation or can be contacted on 5229 3645 or [email protected].
