Since their inception in 2001, the revered soul band – led by the powerhouse vocalist and Queen of soul Kylie Auldist – have become national treasures of the Australian music industry.

From making waves internationally right from the get-go (selling out London’s Barbican and The Jazz Cafe), the band have gone from strength to strength ever since, releasing nine studio albums, including the hugely popular Medicine Man and The Rules of Attraction with Tim Rogers in 2015, and performing at countless tours and festival gigs all around the world.

With a sound so incredibly infectious and positive, their soulful vocals, funky hooks and bombastic energy will be an experience like none other when backed by the masterful Melbourne Symphony Orchestra musicians for this duo of shows next month.

“Having the opportunity to perform our music on stage with the full Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Hamer Hall is really the stuff that dreams are made of,” The Bamboos bandleader Lance Ferguson said in a statement.

“After such a challenging 2020 in Melbourne, I feel like these hometown shows are going to be extra cathartic for all involved and so rest assured we’ll be pulling out ALL the stops.”
