The key takeaways

  • Flavafest will take to Colac and Sale in February 2022.

Keep up with the latest festival news.

Proudly presented by the world’s leading live entertainment company Live Nation and Fat Apple Event Co and in partnership with local promoters, community groups and cultural leaders, the inaugural one-day event packs a punch with its hugely talented Aussie lineup, led by indie Rockers Kingswood, the ARIA Award-winning Melbourne Ska Orchestra, and soul, blues, rock outfit Mahalia Barnes And The Soul Mates who will all be performing at both events, with even more to be announced.

Legends of Australian music The Black Sorrows, and the anthemic alt-rock quartet Motor Ace will feature on the bill in Sale while iconic frontman Ross Wilson and the critically acclaimed Emma Donovan And The Putbacks will take to the stage in Colac, giving music lovers the sweetest of treats.

An entirely unique festival for the region, the day-long and all-ages Flavafest will align these brilliant musicians with each region’s rich and diverse local produce and arts, collaborating with cultural and creative sectors, local vendors, alongside Culinary demonstrations, brewery and distillery showcases, tastings and more.

While we don’t know what eats will exactly be featured, the Otway Ranges are renowned for their bountiful food produce, ranging from beef and lamb, through to fruit, vegetables, cheese, preservatives and other local produce such as wool and wool products, leather products and souvenirs, truly promising something for every festival-goer in Colac.

For those heading to Sale, the port town with a large cultural heart, you won’t be disappointed with Gippsland’s vibrant local produce, from the milk that makes its famous gourmet cheeses to the berry farms, seafood co-ops and organic orchards across the region.

With too long between festivals with friends, Flavafest is the ticket for those looking to immerse themselves back into live music, culture and entertainment in what promises to be just a great day of quality music, incredible food, and family-friendly fun.

Flavafest will take to the Sale Golf Club in Sale on Saturday, February 12 and to Colac Tur Club in Colac on Saturday, February 26 2022.
