Eskimo Joe are bringing their ‘Black Fingernails Red Wine In The City’ tour to Melbourne in October

Acclaimed Australian alt-rock trio Eskimo Joe kick off their 6-date national 'Black Fingernails Red Wine In The City' 2022 tour this month.

The ARIA winning alt-rock trio Eskimo Joe are heading on tour this month, bringing their show to six cities across Australia. Known for their four time ARIA Platinum Black Fingernails Red Wine (2006) and their two time ARIA Platinum A Song Is A City (2004), they’re bringing their energetic live performance to the stage for an epic back-to-back performance, playing each album in its entirety. Joining the trio is Aussie rock legend for both her solo career, and as frontwoman for the multi-ARIA Award nominated band Magic Dirt, Adalita. Catch them when they perform at The Forum on October 1.

  • October 1 – Forum, Melbourne
  • October 4 – Thebarton Theatre, Adelaide
  • October 5 – Enmore Theatre, Sydney
  • October 15 – Fremantle Arts Centre, Perth

Fans can expect a show featuring A Song Is A City hits such as ‘From The Sea’, ‘Smoke’, ‘Older Than You’, ‘Life Is Better With You’, as well as belters from Black Fingernails, Red Wine, such as the title track, ‘Sarah’, ‘New York’, ‘Breaking Up’, ‘London Bombs’ and many more.

They’re also releasing a 2022 version of their 1998 breakout single, ‘Sweater’. “We haven’t played Sweater since 2002 at Fowlers Live Adelaide, but since that day not a single show has gone by where someone hasn’t yelled out ‘play Sweater’,” says Kav Temperley.

“It has become almost sacred to the OG Eskies fans, so for all of you who’ve been waiting for this moment please enjoy this 2022 version of Sweater we’ve put together. And for those coming along to join us on our national Black Fingernails Red Wine In The City tour in a few weeks’ time if you are lucky we might be playing this one in our encore.”
