Superstar Ed Sheeran is coming to Melbourne this week as part of his + – = ÷ x Tour (pronounced ‘The Mathematics Tour’).

Ed Sheeran is no stranger to breaking records, and he’s notching up yet another this week.

Promoted by Frontier Touring, Ed Sheeran’s concert on Friday 3 March at the Melbourne Cricket Ground has smashed the Australian record for the most tickets sold to a single concert, with more than 107,000 fans set to attend on the night. His Thursday 2 March MCG concert is similarly record breaking, with more than 100,000 tickets sold to date – final tickets are now on sale for Thursday’s show.

Matt Gudinski, CEO of Mushroom Group, said of the amazing result, “Ed loves to break a record and he’s smashed this one. It’s phenomenal that more than 200,000 people will see this amazing show at our iconic MCG. Melbourne is set for two incredibly special nights with one of the greatest performers ever.”

The colossal shows are part of Ed’s massive + – = ÷ x Tour of Australia and New Zealand, with fans witnessing one of the most spectacular productions to ever visit our shores.
