Continuously honing their modern take on old school pop punk and indie rock over the years, Dear Seattle are hitting the road this year.

Sydney’s Dear Seattle return with a new single ‘Nothing’s Stopping Me Now’, out now via Domestic La La and a headline tour in support of the single, hitting up four special venues in August and September this year.

They’ll kick off the tour at the Curtin Hotel in Melbourne on 11 August before heading to Brisbane, Adelaide, and finishing in Sydney on 1 September.

Bustling with bright guitar tones, soaring choruses and emphatic delivery, ‘Nothing’s Stopping Me Now’ was produced by long-time Dear Seattle friend and producer Fletcher Matthews (Trophy Eyes, The Buoys, STUMPS).

An ode to defying the naysayers and thriving against the odds, ‘Nothing’s Stopping Me Now’ also flexes the Sydney quartet’s unique blend of affable charm, vulnerability and hope with irresistible ease.

Speaking of their latest track, the band shares: “It’s all about that underdog, comeback-of-the-year, Steven Bradbury type energy, where you hit rock bottom so hard it somehow bounces you straight back up and a sudden surge of motivation has you running again. It’s when someone tells you you can’t, and no fibre of your being is willing to let that be true.”

“It’s one of those tracks that kinda just fell out of us. As soon as it felt good we hit the green light. We didn’t overthink it, didn’t labour on it, just went with our gut with conviction.”

“We wanted to bring everything back to its roots and rebuild without second guessing. So we decided to work with one of our closest mates and producer of our self-titled EP, Fletcher Matthews. Back to the good old days.”

Whether charming Missy Higgins herself with their 2019 triple j Like A Version cover of The Special Two, launching their own beer, burning up the charts and airwaves, or penning melodic, heartfelt delights that’ll have you equally singing along and banging your head, Dear Seattle are a band who build unforgettable moments around authenticity and charming execution, and Nothing’s Stopping Me Now is only just the beginning of the band’s brand new chapter.

Dear Seattle are set to hit the road this week joining Hockey Dad and Ruby Fields for the Hockey Fields Tour.
