Sofar Sounds, renowned for orchestrating secret and intimate concerts, is bringing Dan Sultan to Geelong.

Dan Sultan, one of Australia’s most acclaimed singer-songwriters, is set to grace the stage at Murran Hub on February 25th for what promises to be the largest Sofar Geelong show yet.

But there’s more to this event than just incredible music. All profits from the show will directly support the Ngarramili community, making it a chance to enjoy great music while making a positive impact.

Dan Sultan’s illustrious career boasts an impressive array of accolades, including 7 ARIA Awards, Top 5 ARIA-charting albums, and an ARIA-certified gold record. His self-titled album ‘DAN SULTAN,’ released in 2023, clinched the ARIA for ‘Best Adult Contemporary Album’ and earned nominations for ‘Best Solo Artist’ and ‘Best Independent Release’.

Joining Sultan on stage will be Geelong talents Piper Knox and Ngara McEwan, ensuring a lineup of unforgettable performances.

For over a decade, Sofar Sounds has been crafting unique live music experiences in unexpected spaces worldwide. From its origins in a London living room in 2009, Sofar has grown into a global phenomenon, uniting music and community in over 400 cities across 78 countries. Over the past year, Sofar has been turning its spotlight towards Geelong and the Surf Coast, reconnecting artists and audiences in our regional haven.

Filling rooms with attentive audiences seeking to discover new music, delivering intimate concert experiences like never before, this time Sofar Sounds will take to Geelong’s inner city at Murran – a pioneering innovation space tailored for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses, creatives, and individuals. Since its opening last year in mid-December, Murran has served as a cultural beacon, providing a platform for community engagement and economic empowerment. Featuring an art gallery, retail store, cafe, co-working space, and events area, Murran is set to redefine Indigenous business and culture.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Ngarrimili to support their national work. Light refreshments will be available, and all are welcome to attend this special event.
