Level up your Thursday nights with an epic night of trivia, catch-ups and drinks at the Blackman's Burger Bar
Fancy yourself a bit of a general knowledge whiz? Put your brains to the test at Blackman’s Burger Bar’s new fortnightly pub trivia nights, where questions on anything from film to sport are supplemented by cool beers and food specials.
Giving locals a perfect excuse to go out in Ocean Grove on a school night, the trivia nights will kick off this Thursday, April 21, and go down every second Thursday after that – giving you plenty of time to brush up on random facts.

Hosted by Question One Trivia, the night will begin from 7pm and will pit teams against each other for a bunch of action-packed rounds, which range from listening to snippets of music to the trickiest pop culture questions imaginable as well as plenty of offbeat humour. Prizes will be up for grabs for the winning team too.
Alongside the knowledge battles, trivia nights will also feature awesome local craft beer, cocktail specials for trivia players and a Slider Feast available for teams to share! A true testament to team bonding, the feast includes a delicious spread of sliders, Mac n Cheese Croquettes, Southern Fried Chicken, onion rings, chicken tenders and chips.
You’ll also find rotating taps of the Blackman’s Brewery core range and seasonals alongside an epic burger menu to match. The venue opens from 12pm on Thursday if you want to get in a few-warm up drinks before the questions start flying that night.

While trivia is a big drawcard, the summer beer and burger bar itself is one of our absolute faves, sitting pretty on Ocean Grove’s main strip in one of the town’s most historic buildings. Opening back in 2019, this super friendly independently-owned brew company is renowned for their colourful, in flavour and appearance, beers and this bright and bubbly venue continues to reflect their signature brand.
It’s impossible to have a bad time here, and now with a regular trivia night on the cards to challenge our Google-wired brains, there’s no better place to spend your weekday nights and it’s a great way to ease yourself into the weekend. And of course, everyone is welcome!
