The Little Cupcake is launching a 'pay-it-forward' initiative, delivering free cupcakes to firefighters camping out in Vic Park.

As the state grapples with extreme fire danger warnings and catastrophic conditions in certain districts, Ballarat’s beloved The Little Cupcake is stepping up to support the brave firefighters battling blazes across Victoria and New South Wales.

In a heartwarming gesture, the gourmet cupcake supplier is offering a sweet token of appreciation to the tireless firefighters by providing them with delicious cupcakes.

The initiative invites community members to join in by purchasing any sized box of ‘Mix of the Day’ cupcakes from the Little Cupcake’s website for pickup. Customers can then specify in the notes section during checkout that these cupcakes are intended for the firefighters. With complimentary delivery to the firefighters camping out in Vic Park over the coming weeks, the Little Cupcake ensures that these sweet treats will reach those on the frontline free of charge.

In addition to spreading joy through cupcakes, The Little Cupcake pledges to make a donation to support the firefighting efforts for every purchase made, demonstrating their unwavering solidarity with the courageous firefighters risking their lives to protect communities.

Currently half of the state is under an extreme fire danger warning, while conditions have been classed as catastrophic in far west fire district of Wimmera. More than 30,000 residents living in fire-risk zones have been urged to evacuate and numerous schools and childcare centres have been closed. The bushfire that started in Bayindeen, near Ballarat on Thursday has been contained but is still active, drawing hundreds of firefighters to the Ballarat area.

As Ballarat’s gourmet cupcake supplier, The Little Cupcake is renowned for its commitment to crafting delectable treats from scratch, using real, locally-sourced ingredients.

Founded by Madeleine in 2014, and managed with the help of her family, The Little Cupcake has become a beloved fixture in Ballarat, serving up irresistible cupcakes in a charming historic shop that has witnessed over 125 years of the city’s history. Specialising in gourmet cupcakes made entirely from scratch, the Little Cupcake offers a diverse range of flavours, including gluten-friendly and vegan options.

With its dedication to quality, community, and compassion, The Little Cupcake continues to spread sweetness and support when it’s needed most.
