Over the years, the Surf Coast Trek has raised an impressive sum of over $1.7 million, contributing to vital programs such as Kids+ Parent Infant Program, which offers crucial support to premature babies during their first two years of life.

Shaun Cannon, CEO of Kids+, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, describing it as one of the region’s standout occasions. “We are so pleased to be involved in this event which is fun, friendly, and full of community spirit and goodwill,” he said.

“Now in its ninth year, the Trek keeps going strength to strength. We are so appreciative of the community supporting this event and our work.”

The Trek kicks off at the crack of dawn from Airey’s Inlet (40km) or 9 am from Anglesea (26km), guiding participants along stunning beaches, awe-inspiring clifftops, and through the unique Iron Bark Forest, all in the company of supportive and uplifting community members.

Each rest stop along the journey promises activations, motivational volunteers, and plenty of snacks to keep energy levels high. Notably, the Point Addis rest stop will feature a performance by the local drumming group, Wild Moves, adding an extra boost of energy after a challenging beach walk along Red Rocks Beach.

Following the trek, the Surf Coast Trek team invites the community to join in the festivities at Elephant Walk, Torquay, from 2 pm onwards on Saturday, April 13th. The event promises a lively atmosphere with food trucks, a sausage sizzle, numerous kids’ activities, and music, providing the perfect opportunity to connect with the community and celebrate the accomplishments of the trekkers as they cross the finish line.
