Anther distillery founder and microbiologist, Dr Dervilla McGowan, will first lead an indulgent gin tasting experience for those lucky enough to snatch a ticket to the event. Dr McGowan’s knowledge is sure to tingle the tastebuds of the drinking audience.
Following this, 1915 will provide “a menu inspired by the local Botanics and aromas within the gin, such as salt bush, juniper, and citrus savoury spice,” organisers say. The three-course meal of divine inventions will be accompanied by Anther Gin cocktails, specifically paired to the meals.
Organisers have been relishing in the “development of an exciting new “gin dinner” concept”, where they have “designed the intimate shared occasion [for] lovers of exceptional food and spirits” and intend to spark that ferocious inner gin lover of all diners.
Opening earlier this year, 1915 has become one of Geelong’s most unique drinking and dining experiences. It is a whimsical restaurant set inside a 100-year-old reb-brick boiler house and offers a unique take on the fine-dining experience. Described to have “a powerful history infused with a modern spirit” (1915), the venue offers an extensive range of meals, drinks, and desserts for all of you sweet-toothed diners out there.
