The iconic Q Train is back! The fan favourite dining experience is reopening its doors after a whopping 355 days shut The Q Train is finally open once again and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
The ever-popular Q Train in Queenscliff provides a dining experience like no other for guests, and after a roller coaster 2020, they’re welcoming patrons back aboard the carriages to dine the night away aboard a fully functioning train!
The venue is loved by locals and tourists alike, providing a unique dining experience that includes having all your meals across a three-hour train journey. With experience being equally as important as the food, The Q Train promise an immersive dining experience like no other that has become synonymous with the Queenscliff and Bellarine Peninsula dining scene.
Since opening in 2017, The Q Train has served as a fan favourite tourism and hospitality venue for the Bellarine making it a figurehead in local dining experiences. However, it was hit hard by COVID-19 closures and restrictions and had to shut its doors for nearly a year in March 2020.
After being unable to reopen, they were informed they would finally be able to open in February 2021, 11 months after initially closing but that it would have to be at no more than 60 per cent capacity. However, with the high expenses of serving up the best of the best in local produce, coupled with the numerous vouchers loyal customers have to redeem after the last 12 months, 60 per cent capacity would not cover the costs.
In a bid to increase seating capacities and accommodate as many diners as possible (whilst still keeping with COVID restrictions, of course), The Q Train have spent their time setting up a brand-new carriage for diners to enjoy.
Officially reopening on March 12, the train is back serving up their iconic degustation menu, showcasing the best that The Bellarine and surrounds have to offer with a number of smaller courses so you can really get a taste of everything they have to offer (bonus if you can never decide what to get!).
The Q Train brings diners from near and far and new and returning customers alike are sure to love the experience as much as they did 355 days ago.
