Get thirsty, Flying Brick Cider Co is throwing an epic Australian Cider Day celebration this weekend

Move over beer and wine, it’s cider’s time to shine.

If an apple a day is good, then a cider a day is even better, right?

Well, you’ll be fighting fit tomorrow when the Bellarine becomes host to a massive celebration – all in the name of cider, local fare and top musical talent.

Landing at Flying Brick Cider House, the annual Australian Cider Day promises a full day of music, fun, food, cider and celebrations for all ages.

Officially endorsed by Cider Australia, this massive March celebration is all in the name of celebrating the humble Australian apple and pear, or more specifically its spin-off, cider – a drink that has taken the world by storm in the last decade.

A tribute to the humble apple, from 12pm cider enthusiasts can indulge in the top culinary line up of seasonal, local fare from head Chef, Josh Reader; enjoy a Cider Tasting Paddle, featuring your pick of four refreshing Flying Brick Ciders; and kick back on the lush, green lawn with access to a pop-up cider bar and food vans serving up delicious, fresh-cooked snacks. There’s even a burger created especially for the day, been a Pork belly burger, fennel and apple slaw, smoked jalapeno mayo, dill pickles, milk bun. Yum!

As always, there’s a range of Yes said the Seal and other premium local wines on offer as well as an array of beers and our in-house Cocktail of the moment on the pour. Barista coffee, loose leaf LOVE Tea and soft drinks go without saying – they’ve got you covered!

A highlight is of course the ‘Scarecrow’ pre-release cider tasting, which will see guests being one of the first in Australia to taste our new boutique batch of cider crafted here onsite. Aptly named ‘Scarecrow’ in celebration of the Great Australian Scarecrow Competition Finale.

We know no event is complete without live music and these guys have you covered with a range of local entertainment all day long. You’ll hear from loved locals Steven Clark, Jason & Jess, Beach Blokes and Kieran Tobin.

With an event like this on the horizon, we’re simply smitten to the core! Oh, and it’s dog friendly.

The Australian Cider Day Celebration will be held at Flying Brick Cider House, 1251 Bellarine Highway, Wallington tomorrow, Saturday March 13.

Book online via the website, or walk ins welcome to cruise and schmooze on the lawn. (No bookings for the lawn area)
