The people have spoken.
We all know that Pakington St has the monopoly on cafes and eateries in Geelong, but one café in particular bagged the number one spot when Geelong Advertiser asked their subscribers to vote on their favourite.
Known for a great cup of coffee and bloody delicious flavours, Pakington Pantry managed to beat out 20 finalists from Geelong, earning a special spot in Geelong brunch goers hearts, with Hamlyn Heights’ Eddy & Wills coming a very close second.
Pakington Pantry manager Anne-Maree Dulic said it was an honour to claim the No. 1 spot on the polls, and hailed her hubby Matt, the head chef, and his unforgettable tastes as a reason for their success since their opening in 2013.
After years of loyal locals flocking to their doors, myself included, the café also gives back to the community, participating in the CafeSmart initiative fundraising to help end homelessness in the local area.
The café is operating on a capacity of 10 patrons indoors but hopes to make more outside space for diners soon.
So why not head in a grab yourself one of their famous Hangover Wraps? On a menu packed full of brunch favourites, you are not going to be disappointed.
You can find the cafe at 3/328 Pakington Street, Newtown.
