Leading the pack is the trailblazing Afrobeat luminary Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 hailing from Nigeria. Seun, Grammy-nominated and son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, is set to bring his charismatic spin on the genre while preserving and extending his father’s legacy. Performing exclusively at WOMADelaide, Seun Kuti is sure to mesmerize the audience with his soul-stirring saxophone and powerful vocals.

Joining the international ensemble is the tropical pop-reggae sensation Hollie Cook from the UK. Known for her distinctive voice in ‘lovers rock,’ a sub-genre of reggae celebrating erotic love, Hollie Cook is set to enchant the crowd with her unique sound. With a musical lineage that includes being the daughter of Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook and Culture Club backing vocalist Jeni Cook, Cook continues to carve her own musical legacy.

Amsterdam’s Mauskovic Dance Band is set to turn the festival into a pulsating dancefloor with their intoxicating mix of hazy rhythms and dubby percussion. The five-piece band, with familial ties amongst four members, promises hypnotic grooves and airtight arrangements that have garnered acclaim worldwide.

Rounding off the quartet is the world-renowned DJ-producer Saliah from Lebanon/UK. Known for her technical skill and genre-bending sets, Saliah brings high energy to the stage with curated selections and remixes of Arabic classics blended seamlessly with club sounds.

These four artists join an already outstanding lineup of exclusive performances, including Ziggy Marley, Baaba Maal, Corinne Bailey Rae, Nitin Sawhney, and Emel Mathlouthi.

With a program designed to captivate audiences, WOMADelaide 2024 promises to be an immersive and unforgettable experience.
