The roots of Carols by Candlelight trace back to 1938, evolving into a beloved institution that has captured the hearts of audiences for generations. Beyond the captivating performances, this event serves a profound purpose – all proceeds contribute to services for children with vision impairment.

The star-studded line-up will include a mix of familiar and new talent taking to the stage to perform everyone’s favourite Christmas songs and carols. Notable names such as Casey Donovan, Denis Walter, Marina Prior, David Hobson, Simon Gleeson, and Silvie Paladino are set to grace the stage, with more exciting additions to be unveiled in November.

“Carols by Candlelight illuminates the path to a brighter future for children who are blind or have low vision in Australia. We extend a warm invitation to families and friends to unite with us in person at the magnificent Sidney Myer Music Bowl,” stated Ron Hooton, Vision Australia CEO. “Through this cherished tradition, we raise much-needed funds to empower these extraordinary children with invaluable resources, tailored education, and essential, holistic support. We help them live the life they choose, ensuring they embark on a journey toward a more hopeful tomorrow.”

AAMI, Australia’s leading personal insurer, proudly sponsors Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight, recognizing its significance as an adored Christmas tradition and fundraiser. “There really is no other event that quite compares to Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight in terms of uniting communities and bringing joy to Australian families,” noted Mim Haysom, Executive General Manager Brand and Marketing, Suncorp Group. “We’re thrilled to continue our presenting partnership and play a role in helping children and families through the work of Vision Australia. We’re very much looking forward to sharing the magic of Carols with the nation this Christmas and supporting the community through this wonderful event.”
