Valhalla Brewing and Taproom is finally opening its dedicated brewery and brewhall in Geelong this October.

In an exciting development for the local brewing scene, Valhalla Brewing and Taproom is about to make its triumphant debut with a brand-new brewery and brewhall in Geelong. This revelation has had beer enthusiasts on the edge of their seats since its announcement last year, and the countdown has begun for the grand opening in the iconic Federal Mills location in North Geelong.

After more than a year of preparation and anticipation, the Valhalla Brewery will open its doors this month, welcoming guests on the following dates and times:

  • Thursday, October 26th: 4 pm – 10 pm
  • Friday, October 27th: 4 pm – 11 pm
  • Saturday, October 28th: 12 pm – 11 pm

The new venue boasts a 15hl Brewhouse and a 200-person capacity taproom where patrons can choose from 16 fresh and local beers. Brewery tours, a free jukebox, and delicious pizzas will be available throughout the opening weekend. No reservations required; just show up, enjoy a beer or three, and immerse yourself in Geelong’s newest beer experience.

The Federal Mills site is renowned for its creative hub of technology and hospitality, home to great local businesses like Anther and 1915. Joining the esteemed ranks, Valhalla’s 1500-litre brewhouse will have the capacity to produce up to 500,000 litres of beer annually.

For beer aficionados and locals alike, this venture promises to add another layer of vibrancy to the area, further establishing Geelong as a prominent destination for beer lovers. The 200-seat taproom on-site is set to be a hotspot for those seeking a unique beer experience.

Valhalla Brewing’s first beer has already been brewed at the venue, with head brewer Ian Jones at the helm.

Valhalla Brewing owner, Scott Hunt, shared the exhilarating news with the public in August last year: “For six years, we have been on the lookout for the ideal location for a brewery, and although several opportunities have failed to reach fruition, we believe the Federal Mills lease proves that good things come to those who wait.”

In the heart of Geelong’s CBD, the beloved Valhalla Brewing & Taproom in Union Street will continue to operate, maintaining its prominent presence in the city.
