It's time to take your love of the grape to the streets with this self-guided stroll between Geelong's best venues.
In some good news for those looking to fill their summer in Geelong, the Urban Wine Walk has announced a regional edition, coming to Geelong in December.
The perfect event for lovers of fine wine, the Urban Wine Walk will see the streets and laneways of Geelong come alive on Saturday, December 3 as a line-up of the best venues transform into an Urban Cellar Door for you to visit on a self-guided trail.

Taking cues from a classic pub crawl, the Urban Wine Walk will see guests visit a string of venues across the town to sample some of the best wine on offer, with guest wineries situated within each spot. Simply decide which venue you’d like to start from and you’re off, heading out on an adventure you curate.
From 12pm, wine-walkers will take to the likes of 18th Amendment Bar featuring Mount Langi Ghiran (VIC), Beav’s Bar featuring Wangolina Wines (SA), Black Sheep (winery to be confirmed), The Brewery Geelong who will be hosting Empire of Dirt Wines (VIC) and Edge Geelong who will feature Mulline Vintners (VIC).
Wander up to the Geelong Hotel, then onto the The Hot Chicken Project who will feature Beyond the Glass (VIC), The Inn Hotel featuring Mount Avoca (VIC), Sailor’s Rest with Vinteloper (VIC), There There featuring Liquid Rock N Roll (VIC) and lastly Union Street Wine Bar who will host LS Merchants (WA).
Tickets costs $75, which go on sale October 25, with places limited. The ticket will include complimentary tastings at each venue (One Per Variety Per Person), a Food Voucher to Spend at your Nominated Starting Venue (Before 1pm) and a Voucher for Event Day Wine Orders. Of course you’ll also get an Official Event Wristband and a Tasting Glass, which you’ll have to hang on to as you saunter across town.

The Urban Wine Walk will also host events in Canberra, New Zealand, Redfern, Western Australia Hobart, Brisbane and Adelaide.
