UNIFY announce stacked all-Aussie lineup for 2022 featuring The Amity Affliction, Violent Soho and more

The Amity Affliction

This will be one monumental weekend of heavy music chaos.

It’s the news we’ve been needing to hear! UNIFY Gathering is set to return in 2022, but this time featuring an all-Australian lineup.

Since the heavy festival launched in 2015 with a lineup of entirely Aussie artists, UNIFY Gathering has had pretty much every heavy artist in the country perform across their six events. Due to the current situation and the impact it has had on the music industry especially, UNIFY is heading back to their roots and inviting all the past Aussie artists back for a huge celebration in Tarwin Lower from January 20 – 23 2022.

The key takeaways

  • UNIFY returns in January 2022 to Tawin Lower with all-Australian lineup
  • Festival favourites The Amity Affliction and Violent Soho lead the lineup
  • Tickets go on sale on Thursday August 19 at 12pm

Keep up with the latest festival news, reviews and interviews here.

From promising up and comers to triple j mainstays; nostalgic singalongs, guitar legends and striking storytellers to unapologetic punk-rockers and earthshattering breakdowns, UNIFY 2022 is serving up a plethora of heavy sounds that Aussie music fans can be proud of. Plus, it’s only going to get bigger with a second lineup announcement coming very soon.

Headlining the heavy music dreamland is none other than The Amity Affliction, one of the biggest metalcore acts both in the country and internationally. They will take over UNIFY’s stage for a monumental performance hot off the back of their latest album, Everyone Loves You… Once You Leave. The Amity Affliction headlined the first-ever UNIFY back in 2015, so it’s only fitting they return to the stage for what is sure to be one of the biggest instalments of the festival yet.

Joining Amity at the headliner slot is one of the most iconic rock bands in Australia, Violent Soho. Screaming their way into the public conscience with their highly acclaimed LP, Gold accredited Hungry Ghost, Violent Soho cemented their legendary status with the release of Everything is A-Ok in April last year, again debuting at #1. UNIFY 2022 will be the band’s second performance since the iconic album and will be the first time Violent Soho have played the festival since their colossal set in 2017. Get ready to release all that pent-up energy when they take the stage.

Joining The Amity Affliction and Violent Soho is a smorgasbord of homegrown heroes. With first time UNIFY performances from fourteen out of the twenty-three artists on the lineup including the likes of Alpha Wolf, Teenage Joans, PLINI, BUGS, Short Stack, Stepson, RedHook, BLOOM & more! Plus the festival will see return appearances from heavyweights such as Ocean Grove, Thornhill, Yours Truly and WAAX – all of whom have blown up enormously since they last stopped by Tarwin Meadows.

With a lineup of this magnitude and a cap of 7000 tickets, you can be sure this heavy weekend will be selling out in no time.

Tickets to UNIFY go on sale 12pm AEST today via Ticketmaster.

UNIFY will go down 20 – 23 January 2022 at Tarwin Lower, South Gippsland. While there’s hope for the camping festival to go ahead as planned in January, the festival has taken extra steps to ensure the festival’s return in 2022. To that end, UNIFY has already set aside a backup weekend of Thursday 10 March to Sunday 13 March 2022 should the January dates need to move.
