Off the back of Mulita BBQ’s month-long pop-up residency at Austin’s Winery, the beloved Moorabool Valley winery has announced that Tulip Restaurant, a renowned establishment in Geelong’s dining scene, will be the latest kitchen residency at their cellar door.

Hailed Tulip in the Vines, the exciting collaboration will bring together the exceptional modern Australian cuisine of Tulip Restaurant and the exquisite wines of Austin’s winery for an unparalleled dining five-week experience.

Taking over Austin’s Wine’s new drinking destinations, located on Austin’s family-owned vineyard in Sutherlands Creek, Tulip will present a more relaxed version of their celebrated dining experience under the guidance of Manager Dan Ford and Chef Mike Jaques, recipients of a prestigious chef’s hat in the esteemed Good Food Guide 2023. The experience will run exclusively for lunch every Friday to Sunday throughout the residency.

Here, guests will embark on a culinary journey as Tulip showcases their seasonal menu, expertly crafted to highlight the finest seasonal ingredients and local produce. Guests will have the opportunity to indulge in an array of delectable dishes that will showcase the region’s best produce and pair perfectly with Austin’s Wines.

The menu will feature a range of exquisite offerings, including roasted and pickled pumpkin, complemented by pickled walnuts and mustard greens; succulent ham hock served with a zesty horseradish, shallot, and parsley sauce; and freshly shucked oysters accompanied by vibrant green tomato and radish.

There will also be tender confit duck leg served on a bed of radicchio, enhanced with the subtle sweetness of burnt pear.

For a truly immersive experience, guests can opt for the enticing chef’s selection menu, priced at $65 per person. Alternatively, the ‘taste and dine package’ is available for $90 per person, featuring a guided wine tasting, Tulip’s chef’s selection menu, and perfectly paired wines from Austin’s winery.

An à la carte menu and a ‘snacks’ menu will also be offered.

Due to limited seating, reservations are highly recommended to secure a spot at this extraordinary dining experience. Tulip in the Vines at Austin’s will be exclusively available for lunch every Friday to Sunday, commencing on July 7 and continuing for four weeks.
