TISM announce first Australian headline tour in 20 years with Eskimo Joe, Machine Gun Fellatio, Ben Lee and The Mavis’s

The iconic Melbourne rockers are hitting the road again.

Australia, brace yourselves for a seismic musical event this October and November. After a long hiatus, TISM is making a grand return with their first headline tour since 2004. Dubbed the Death To Art Tour, the tour promises to be a landmark in Australian music history, featuring a star-studded lineup of local legends.

The band, known for their enigmatic anonymity and satirical flair, is also releasing a new single and video, both titled Death To Art, alongside a forthcoming studio album of the same name. The album, set to drop on October 4, follows their recent EP, The “C” Word.

The Death To Art Tour kicks off on October 20 in Brisbane, moves to Melbourne on November 9, and wraps up in Sydney on November 29. Fans can look forward to an electrifying series of performances as TISM is joined by fellow iconic Australian acts: Eskimo JoeMachine Gun FellatioBen Lee, and The Mavis’s.

Machine Gun Fellatio, reunited for the first time in 19 years, is bringing their notorious live energy back to the stage. Similarly, The Mavis’s, who haven’t performed together in six years, will bring their infectious 90s pop to the tour. Eskimo Joe, a staple in the Australian indie rock scene, and Ben Lee, renowned for his eclectic solo career, round out the incredible lineup.

TISM, renowned for their chaotic charisma and sharp wit, have been a cult favourite since the 1980s. Their debut album, Great Truck’ Songs of the Renaissance, and their 2004 release, The White Albun, are iconic in Australian music lore. The band’s live shows are legendary, known for their unpredictable performances and theatrical flair.

Eskimo Joe, with their recent single The First Time, continues to captivate audiences, while Ben Lee remains a versatile force in music, from pop hits to thoughtful albums. The Mavis’s, known for their 90s anthems like Cry, are set to deliver a nostalgic trip for fans.

This tour is a rare opportunity to see such a constellation of Australian musical stars come together. Tickets are expected to sell out quickly, so fans should act fast to witness this historic series of shows.
