Australia’s extreme metal masters Thy Art Is Murder have announced the Godlike headline tour, razing through the country this November.
Since 2006, Sydney deathcore giants Thy Art Is Murder have had us in a chokehold. Almost two decades later the excitement that comes with the prospect of a live show is electrifying. Good news for Australia – Thy Art Is Murder is heading on the road this November for what is set to be a godlike tour.
Joined by Brand Of Sacrifice (Canada), Great American Ghost (USA) and Lune, they will be playing five capital cities, starting in Melbourne to play 170 Russell on Friday 8 November, heading to Froth & Fury Festival in Adelaide on Saturday 9 November, over the Magnet House in Perth on Sunday 10 November, back to the East Coast for a show at The Princess Theatre in Brisbane on Thursday 14 November and finishing up in their hometown of Sydney to slaughter Metro Theatre on Friday 15 November.

Thy Art Is Murder are an unrelenting force that have ascended the ranks of extreme metal’s top-tier bands waving the flag for Australia’s metal scene since they dropped their debut EP Indefinite Death way back in 2007. Nothing has changed as the music continues to flow from their veins and their level of brutal builds.
Over the past 12 months, Thy Art have been in absolute Godlike mode, dropping their sixth explosive record, unveiling a new vocalist and decimating stages on the biggest-ever headline tour and festival slots of their career. The world has an insatiable appetite for Thy Art Is Murder, and Europe could barely keep up with the demand for tickets as shows sold out as fast as they were upgraded. It’s finally Australia’s turn to join them in Armageddon when Thy Art tears around the mainland later this year.
Only elevating the experience is the level of support they have recruited. Canadian technical deathcore bruisers Brand Of Sacrifice will be jumping up, returning to Australia after leaving their indelible mark at Knotfest earlier this year, flying in with fellow North American’s, New Hampshire’s most furious export, Great American Ghost, who have cemented themselves as one of the most exciting bands in heavy music right now. Ensuring representation from our current metal scene, Melbourne’s rapidly rising metalcore crew Lune will be supporting the tour, playing all shows bar Adelaide.
Tickets for this goliath of a tour are on sale Thursday 8 August at 9am AEST. Grab them via thyartismurder.net.
