As you would be aware, Thirsty Merc is back on the road following a fatal car accident that took the life of stage manager Shane Cooper, with dates lined up at The Barwon, Geelong on December 18, Lorne Hotel, Lorne on December 29 and Barwon Heads Hotel, Barwon Heads on December 30.
When it came to recording their new album Shifting Gears, the band turned to PledgeMusic, reaching their target within 48 hours of a 75day campaign. Rai Thistlethwayte: “We want to get into the same room, and without the shackles of a major record label, we can take risks, and not cut any corners musically. Because there are less diluting elements, it could be the most authentic album we’ve ever made.”
