There’s a new summer rooftop, outdoor dining destination in Geelong

Taking cocktails and pancakes to new heights

Lording it over the rest of the city, drink in hand, is truly one of life’s great pleasures. There’s just something about the taste of a white wine, fresh mojito or a cold beer at high altitude… we can’t explain it, but we love it.

Lucky for us, we can escape to the echelons of summer delight where a cool breeze and a chilled beverage provide the ultimate refreshment high above the steamy streets below with Geelong’s newest rooftop, courtesy of Sweet Cheeks Cocktail & Dessert Lounge.

Opening this week after months in the works, ‘The Oasis’ rooftop has come just in time with the easing of restrictions, giving Geelong locals another place to enjoy long summer days and warm summer nights. Armed with a stunning view over Geelong’s CBD, this new terrace is welcomed now more than ever with bookings extremely limited across the region.

Since opening a few months ago, Sweet Cheeks has become the go-to in Geelong if you’re after a late-night treat with a menu dedicated to pancakes. You’ll find maple ice cream pancakes, lemon and sugar, banana butterscotch, hundreds and thousands (complete with choccy sauce), salted caramel, blueberry buttermilk, classic choc chip, and strawberries and cream. There are also other sweets like cheesecake and sponge if you’re not feeling a stack. The only problem you’ll have here is deciding which one to get.

Their cocktail menu is just as sweet too, boasting the likes of Sangria, espresso martini, the ‘Curly Wurly’, pineapple mojito, Dragonfruit margarita, and their brand new fishbowls! Our eyes are on the 1.5 litres of ‘Tiki Time’. These cocktails are pretty much made to be enjoyed on a sunny rooftop.
There’s even a selection of spirits, wine, mocktails, coffee, and beer on tap too.

The Oasis rooftop launched on Friday, and bookings are now open.

Visit the website and find this new Oasis at 71 Yarra Street, Geelong.
