There’s a new kid on Pakington Street

There’s been a few changes going on in recent times.

If you’ve ventured down Pakington Street over the last couple of months you would have noticed the major transformation happening at the originally known ‘Pakington Cottage’.

Located at the river end of Pako, Picket Fence is the latest addition to the Geelong cafe scene and a ‘must-try’ for a hot coffee or delicious Maccadamia nut panacotta (yes, this is real).

It’s been months of hard work and planning that has brought Picket Fence to life from the dedicated Melbourne restaurateur Nadia Atwa, alongside amazing head chef (and local Newtown boy) Mitchell Knight… what a team!

Looking to create a space filled with diversity, love and passion, the team at Picket Fence are off to a flying start, already receiving rave reviews and garnering a lot of Insta love since opening just five days ago.

While we don’t have an online menu to drool over just yet (although that sounds like a great excuse to go check it out), we’ve sussed it out on the ‘gram and judging from the pics, you won’t be disappointed.

So far we have spied goji, pomegranete and butterscotch hot cakes (thanks @geelongbreakfastclub), Korean Beef with black rice, kimchi, egg and Asian greens (cheers to @geelongfoodiemumma) and a delish burger and fries (courtesy of @ashleighrharwood).

Better yet, they will also be serving dinner from Friday (May 25)!

They’re also stocking Earth Angel Pantry treats and serving Cartel Coffee Roasters brews.
Pop in, say hello and welcome Picket Fence to Pako Street!

Picket Fence is located at 359 Pakington Street, Geelong. Check out their Facebook here.
