The adored Geelong Christmas Lights Tracker has revealed the 10 best displays to see around town for 2023.
Across this great regional city, Geelong’s Christmas lights – and our famed Christmas tree – get bigger and better every year. There’s no better feeling once you’ve finished decorating your own tree to hit the town in search of the best displays.
Thankfully, that activity has been made incredibly easy over the years with Geelong Christmas Lights Tracker – one Geelong local Bryson West who annually comprises a list of the best streets and suburbs to find fabulous light displays in Geelong. The popular Facebook group Geelong Christmas Lights Tracker now has more than 22,000 members and earlier this month West delivered the highly-anticipated and comprehensive list of the brilliant imaginative Christmas displays and homes around Geelong that are offering some much-needed festive sparkle and reverie.

With plenty of locations throughout the city that will make you stop and gawk with wide-eyed wonder at the giant Christmas trees and glittering lights, West has now shared the highly-anticipated Top 10 Christmas Light Displays of 2023, comprised from a collection of Geelong’s most wonderful nominated lights.

13 Consedine Court, Corio
A magical display which is all hand made! Each unique one off piece is a welded piece of art, from the giant tree, kanagroo pulling sleigh, to santa waving at the front drive. With snow to top it off. A very special display with such thought and care.
This is a small court, park before entering street is important.
13 Wimmera Ave, Manifold Heights
Santa from down under meets Wimmera Ave. You will find santa on the dunny, bubbles covering the street from the dancing santa above, to an interactive elf game. And Of Course you may see the real Santa there also- he is the real deal I hear!
15 Glengarwyn Road, Leopold
From Mr and Mrs Claus in the work shop, reindeer pulling Santa’s Sleigh, Gigantic Inflatables as tall as the roof and lights galore, this is one for young and old. A white glowing beacon you will see as soon as you turn the corner.
13 Everlasting Terrace, Mount Duneed
Did someone say Clark Griswold!? This American style traditional display features Santa and a horse drawn sleigh, colour coordinated design and projections for all to see. A beautiful display capturing the spirit of the season.
Ashford Court, Belmont
Santa’s house will greet you with a warming fireplace and toys beneath the tree. Following the path to gorgeous window displays. A wonderful wonderland to appreciate the different levels of detail.
41 Merlin Cres, Corio
A display of a collection from many years. Raising money for Dementia (gold coin donation), you may get a photo with Santa and Mrs Claus (statues) in a horse drawn Carriage. Or maybe Santa’s sleigh you prefer? Either way, many quirky pieces to explore. You might even catch santa with a surfboard..
Tara Court, Leopold
Two traditional displays, one in which the garden is lined with snow and launching reindeer, to cheeky wooden cut outs to take photos in. Both offering beautiful design and thoughtfulness. A Christmassy gem!
Cadence Ave, Lara
‘Christmas Ave’, those in Lara refer to it as.
Displays to explore and walk around the streets, with each display offering something unique. A bit of magic is felt walking down ‘Christmas Ave’.
Anthony Street, Newcomb
Lights from head to toe, but I am sure what will excite you is the garage dressed as Santa’s Wonderland. Look but don’t touch, a truly gorgeous display from years of collecting. You will also find another display directly across glistening brightly.
14 Pinder Court, St Albans Park
A christmas light wonderland filled with handmade light pieces, paper mache and gorgeous window displays, from villages to moving Santa’s, this iconic display is one Geelong has known for many years. A magical wonderland.
