The second announcement for Face The Music is here

Contemporary music summit and place where miracles can happen, Face The Music, has dropped the second batch of music industry pros coming to Melbourne this November.

In case you missed the last announcement, the first round of speakers at this year’s summit include Ariel Pink and Marky Ramone talking keynotes, Chippy Nonstop, Amrita Hepi and Monica Tan talking music and intersectionality, while Bjorn Pfarr, Silke Westera, and Rebecca Young will be digging a scalpel into the business backbone of the industry.

Adding to this years massive event, they’ve also snagged German titan of the industry Michael Schuster, the Dutch Creative Director of Studio Moniker Roel Wouters, 15-year industry veteran Lucy Wood, triple j’s Dom Alessio, music editor of our Melbourne brother Beat Magazine Gloria Brancatisano and style icon, DJ, and one of the country’s most vital music journalists Kish Lal.

Other speakers taking to the stage include Simon Winkler and Lauren Taylor, managerial giant Charlotte Abroms, Aidan McLaren from The Hills Are Alive, NYE On The Hill and UNIFY, as well as Matt Walters of Parlour Gigs.

That’s not it though. There will also be an array of artists taking to the stage for their varying beliefs and music influences, including L-FRESH the LION, whose songs are filled with messages of anti-racism and global community, songwriter and Wergaia woman Alice Skye, Kirin J Callinan, Perth-based muso Stella Donnelly, along with a special performance from the gracious Ali Barter.

This year being the 10th anniversary, there will also be an array of aftershocks and afterparties in venues around the city. Stay tuned for the final broadcast. While there’s Melbourne and music and love and romance, Face The Music and dance.
