The Scent Lab is celebrating their third birthday this week with one of their biggest sales yet, offering 40% off on handmade bath products, soy candles and melts, body products, shower products, hair products, plus heaps more. Christmas has definitely come early.

The online-only sale will run from August 11-13 with VIP members getting early access on Tuesday. Their celebrated bath bombs won’t be part of the sale, but they’ll still be available to ‘add to cart’ at full price, because what’s a cheeky bath bomb here or there.

The three-year milestone is huge for the local business. Launching in early 2018 by local entrepreneur Adam Kerrins, The Scent Lab has gone from strength to strength, earning a solid reputation in the region for its aforementioned candles, soaps and bathbombs.
From humble beginnings selling his products at the Belmont Market, the demand for Kerrins’ 100% handmade products saw the business move into the retail space, opening its first store on Ryrie Street just long enough to get us hooked before moving to Westfield to allow for a larger range of products.
While COVID and the business’ location in a shopping complex initially threatened The Scent Lab, its loyal customer base rose to the challenge, treating themselves online with all the products needed for an iso pamper session. Closing the pop-up in Westfield, the business then moved to its current location at Little Fyans Street, taking over a warehouse and filling it with bright colours, sweet smells and an expanded product line (again).
Now you’ll find everything from bath bombs, candles, whipped soaps, and reed diffusers, to bath salts, wax melts, sugar scrubs, face masks, and shampoo bars. There’s even beard oil, magnesium spray, body custard, hand sanitiser, hair detangler, and products for pets (think pet shampoo and Dog spritz deodoriser) – some of which might be available in this juicy, juicy sale.
A credit to the empire they’ve created, there’s even a Facebook group dedicated to The Scent Lab customers to share pictures, experiences, thoughts, recommendations and requests on the business and their products. Currently, there are more than 24 thousand people in the group.
Continuing to take his business to new heights, Kerrins recently embarked on a second venture dubbed The Sweets Lab. Kind of like a giant homage to Australian sweets, The Sweets Lab is an online pick-and-mix lolly store that features only the best quality lollies, delivering taste sensations that belong in the sweetest of dreams. There’s nothing stopping this local business tycoon.
You won’t be able to score any of The Sweets Lab products in the sale, but it’s definitely worth a look if you’ve got a sweet tooth.
For now though, indulge your senses with perhaps the best online sale we’ll see all year. Make yourself a tea, get your comfiest sweats on, and get ready to scroll.
To take advantage of the sale, you’ll have to enter the code ‘HAPPYTOWAIT’ which will be valid until midnight 13th August. The team recommend having your carts prefilled to maximise efficiency and get your order in.
