The Murlocs have released the first single from their forthcoming third album and it does not disappoint.
Noble Soldier arrives as three minutes of unadulterated garage rock, abuzz with lo-fi melodies and hooks.
“The track paints the picture of an everyday forgotten hero-turned-vagabond, chugging along for hope despite failure,” says singer and lyricist Ambrose Kenny-Smith. “Noble Soldier sticks to its traditional pop guns of rhythm-and-blues generated railroad rock.”
The Murlocs joined forces with King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard frontman Stu Mackenzie to produce the track, offering a tasty sampler of what’s to come from the group.
They’ll hit Howler on Friday May 5.
