Antipodes Festival is the biggest celebration of Greek culture in Australia.
Featuring market stalls, live music, dance and cultural performance, Antipodes Festival is a huge celebration of Greek culture. Set to take over the entirety of Lonsdale Street in the CBD for two huge days of festivities on Saturday October 22 and Sunday October 23. There’s over 90 stalls to peruse, roving performers, a zorba ’til you drop contest, songs by Greek performers, a pasito cooking competition and much, much more.

Taking over the historic Lonsdale Street Greek precinct, The Greek Community of Melbourne’s Antipodes street party is the largest of its kind in Melbourne. As well as three free entertainment stages, roving performers and children’s rides and activities – they’ve got multiple bars as well as an array of mouthwatering Greek culinary delights to keep you fuelled throughout the festivities.
With the famous Lonsdale Street Greek Precinct undergoing renovations that will be complete in time for the festival, there will be tons of new greenery, repaired bluestone pavers and improved dining facilities to enjoy at Antipodes Festival.
