The John Steel Singers Reveal New Album, Announce 2016 Melbourne Show

Brisbane six-piece the John Steel Singers have just released their highly anticipated fourth LP and to unveil it to the world they’ll be playing a slew of shows around the country and will be stopping by Melbourne along the way.

Over the past two years, the quirky popsters have delved into more ’70s funk and soul inspired records to bring you Midnight At The Plutonium which was entirely produced in their fittingly named Brisbane studio, The Plutonium.

The first taste off the record Weekend Lover adored us with its classy sax solo, whirly synths, off-beat guitar clicks and catchy as hell falsetto chorus and then we were enchanted by their eight minute experimental act Can You Feel The Future. It’s safe to say Midnight At The Plutonium is their most outrageously dexterous and exploratory record yet.

Supported by Alex Lahey, the John Steel Singers will be hitting up the Northcote Social Club on Saturday August 27.
