In sweeter news today, Surf Coast locals will soon be getting a brand new chocolate and ice cream joint in the form of the 15-acre chocolaterie and ice creamery.
It’s all been made possible thanks to Leeanne and Ian Neeland from the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery who saw a gap in what the other side of Melbourne had on offer.
The coastal space was originally scheduled to open September 1 but is looking at opening around September 15. It features a showroom filled with thousands of chocolates (including a cabinet with 7000 truffles), free ice cream and chocolate tastings and an international team of six chocolatiers who will perform various demonstrations throughout the day. Oh, and did we mention there’s a lavender maze amongst the 15-acres of orchids and native plants?
Leanne and Ian are also the masterminds behind the much sought after hot chocolate festival (currently on this month) and the ice cream festival, which will hopefully make an appearance at the new Surf Coast location.
Who needs a bikini body anyway when there’s chocolate, right?
