Bringing the epic US sitcom that shaped a generation to life, the interactive Friends Experience features a variety of nostalgia-packed interactive sets.
If you’ve ever had a TV in your home, there’s a good chance you’ve seen an episode of Friends. The iconic sitcom series ran for a whopping 10 seasons and 236 episodes, capturing the zeitgeist of ’90s and early 2000s television culture and picking up dedicated fans along the way.
If you’re one of them, you’re in luck – the official Friends Experience is set to arrive in Melbourne on September 1.
The Friends Experience Melbourne
- After touring through multiple major cities, the pop-up event will be opening in Melbourne next month
- Enter the universe of the hit sitcom, act out your favourite scenes and grab exclusive merch at the store
- The Friends Experience will be hosted at The District Docklands and will run from September 1 to November 26

After hosting events all over the world in cities including New York, Brussels, Paris and Birmingham, the Friends Experience will make its Australian debut at the District in Docklands. Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the show with props, costumes and stage design.

Hang out in Monica and Rachel’s apartment, chill out by the Friends fountain and grab a coffee at the Central Perk cafe. And of course, would it really be Friends without the big orange couch? With a selection of outfits and wigs to choose from, there will be plenty of hilarious photo ops.
There will also be an official shop where you can get your hands on limited-edition merchandise including Central Perk apparel, crap bags and Hugsys. Bring the nostalgia home with you!
It’s not yet confirmed if The Friends Experience will visit any other Australian cities – keep an eye on their social media to find out if they will be coming to a city near you.
