‘Sunset Soiree’ is the new weekly Sunday summer series heading to Geelong’s waterfront

Farewell the weekend on a blissful high note with good tunes, stunning views and delicious cocktails

Summer was made for Sunday sessions. Is there anything better than watching the sunset paint the sky over the water on the balcony of a heritage-listed building with a refreshing spritz in hand, surrounded by your friends and just a few feet away from one of your favourite artists? Our answer is no.

From the good humans at Uno Presents (Coastal Jam, UNO DanceClub, Dancing Heads Festival, Bloom), comes your new go-to on a Sunday arvo: The Sunset Soiree.

Keep up with the latest music tours and festival news here.

A kaleidoscope of sonic colour with laid back, relax to the max, itchy house beats allowing you to sink deep into visions of a melting beachfront sunset horizon, Sunset Soiree is a super intimate weekly Sunday eventide taking over Geelong’s waterfront this summer.

Having taken over The Inn Hotel in the form of a single-day open-air day and night party a few years ago, Sunset Soiree has evolved into a fun weekly Sunday session, making the most of summer and attracting a non-judgemental community of people that all just want to dance away the week that was.

Kicking off of Sunday, November 28 with Dean Turnley and Elliott Creed, the unforgettable, boiler room style series will take to the iconic upstairs level of the heritage-listed Beach House, hosting some of Australia’s finest acts each and every week right up until Easter next year (excluding Boxing Day, sorry party starters).

Boasting sweeping views of Geelong’s favourite beach, cascading indoor greenery, the most refreshing cocktails you could dream of, an intimate dance floor and a spot for a DJ on the balcony, the Beach House is a prime location for the weekly event, whether you’re just finishing off a great weekend or pre-empting a tough week ahead.

Valiantly pumping out good vibes from 3pm each week, spots are super limited so bookings are required to deserve your Sunday dance space.

If this isn’t a recipe for the perfect Sunday, we don’t know what is!

So, are you keen for a day of sun-dappled good times spent the right way? The aforementioned legends at Uno Presents are hosting a special giveaway to coincide with the launch of Sunset Soiree.

They’re giving away a season double pass to the weekly event ($800 value), a double pass to the Coastal Jam of your choosing in 2022 ($120 value), and an UNO merchandise pack ($200 value).

You can enter the giveaway here.

Sunset Soiree will go down every Sunday from November 28 2021, excluding boxing day until Easter Sunday, April 17 2022 at Level 2 of The Beach House, Geelong Waterfront. Reserve your dance space via www.sunsetsoiree.com.au
