Well, we have and now that the sun is FINALLY out, The Inn is celebrating with the legendary EDM veteran Darude, who is heading to Geelong this December, headlining The Inn Hotel’s annual Block Party.

Kicking off from 1pm on Monday, December 26 in the Inn’s Car Park, this event is all about the sun, sesh and Sandstorm, with Darude hitting the Aussie decks following his Australian tour back in June.
Darude remains one of dance music’s most influential stars. At the age of 24 and at the height of the trance boom of the early 00’s, the Finnish DJ / artist / producer Ville Virtanen created the milestone single ‘Sandstorm’ under his pseudonym Darude. The track recently hit 275 million streams on Spotify, plus another ¼ billion views of the video on YouTube, with no signs of slowing down. It has since become one of the biggest selling dance singles in the history of electronic dance music with global sales of over 6 million units and to date has featured on hundreds of compilations worldwide.
The Finnish trance giant continues to add to his stellar discography and remains as fresh as ever with recent releases including ‘Singularity’, ‘Surrender’ and ‘Timeless’.
Hailed by the likes of DJ Magazine as “Finland’s biggest musical export”, Darude has gone on to perform in front of audiences up to 100,000 people strong, sweeping across continents and rocking clubs the world over.
Supporting Darude, local acts include Bridget, Coco & Ayres, Eddie Example, Ethan Moloney, The Holland Brothers, House Cat, Matt & Medz, Moto Moto, Semps & Kel, Tilly & Em and Tonino Luketic.
Alongside the tunes, The Inn’s full menu will be available, with handcrafted cocktails, the best of the basics, Redbull Cocktails, Captain Session Ale and White Claw Seltzers at the bar.
