Cosmic Psychos announce headline shows in Castlemaine and Geelong in 2023

Australian punk rock institution Cosmic Psychos, a band who can claim Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder as a mate and musical peer, will be storming regional stages in 2023.

Off the back of their support of Guns n Roses across Australia, ending at the MCG, the Psychos are heading back to pubs and clubs they love around Victoria.

Kicking off on Wednesday, January 25 at Sooki Lounge in Belgrave, the band will then head to HABA in Rye on January 26, and Theatre Royal in Castlemaine on January 28 before finishing up at the Barwon Club Hotel in Geelong on Sunday, January 29.

Since forming in Spring Plains in 1982, spearheaded by founding member and bass player Ross Knight, this power trip has survived passing decades, serving their rugged, punk-influenced pub rock with a side of self-mocking humour and healthy irreverence.

Expect a wild set of straight-ahead, good-fun, Australian-influenced punk rock.

The tour coincides with the release of Knighty’s first foray as an author, in the form of a children’s book titled ’The Incredible Tail of Little Roo’. Illustrated by long time Psychos collaborator Lluis Fuzzhound, the book will be released on Feb 1st through Love Police books, but be available at all shows for those wanting to get in early.

Coming along for the ride will be Thee Cha Cha Chas, and from across the ditch Dick Move (NZ).

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
