Brought to you by The Winemakers of Rutherglen, a collective comprising 16 innovative wineries hailing from the picturesque North East Victoria, the event will see these regional wineries once again gracing the bustling streets of Melbourne with their extraordinary offerings. From 11:30 am to 5:30 pm, The Timber Yard will play host to an array of cellar door experiences, tantalizing wine tastings, intimate wine masterclasses, live musical performances, and delectable food options featuring the finest produce from North East Victoria.

Rutherglen in the City is your golden ticket to immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Rutherglen’s wine culture, with the chance to sample over 100 rare and boutique wines. Rutherglen, an undiscovered gem in Australia’s wine landscape, showcases varietals that thrive in the region, including new season releases, exclusive cellar door vintages, and aged classics.

Venture into uncharted territory and discover the enigmatic Muscat of Rutherglen, a drink that effortlessly straddles the line between wine and spirit. Unravel the intriguing history behind Rutherglen’s celebrated red grape, Durif!

For those craving knowledge and a deeper connection with the wine, the event offers an array of wine masterclasses, each hosted by renowned winemakers and personalities.

11:40 am: Meet the Iberians with Stanton & Killeen Wines
Join the seventh-generation winery as they introduce you to unusual Portuguese cultivars in a guided tasting experience. Immerse yourself in a curated selection of current and back vintage wines and uncover the rich history behind Stanton & Killeen’s love for Iberian varietals.

1:00 pm: Coco Vino Delight with Cofield Wines
Savor a generous tasting of three of Damien Cofield’s favorite wines, expertly paired with handcrafted Cuvée Chocolates.

2:30 pm: Rutherglen in the Cellar with Jones Winery & Vineyard
Join Benjamin Jones, a sixth-generation winemaker, as he takes you on a journey through the aging process of white and red wines from their Sustainable Winegrowing Australia certified vineyard. Discover the magic of aged and current Shiraz, Fiano, and Marsanne/Roussanne blends.

4:00 pm: The Dark Arts Durif Masterclass with Warrabilla Wines
