After forming a musical friendship,  they marked their debut with the release of the EP Campus in 2012. This initial offering showcased their distinct sound and set the stage for the duo’s ascent in the music scene.

Building on the success of Campus, Royel Otis continued to captivate audiences with their August 2022 release, Bar & Grill. The EP further solidified their position as rising stars in the Australian music landscape.

March 2023 witnessed the unveiling of their third EP, Sofa Kings, a compelling collection that garnered attention and acclaim. Following its physical release in July 2023, the EP made a notable impact, securing the duo a spot at number 43 on the ARIA charts.

Their debut album, PRATTS & PAIN, is the culmination of Royel Otis’ musical evolution. Named after the South London pub near Carey’s studio, the album showcases the duo’s penchant for swinging between melodic, pop-inspired indie and woozy psych. The record promises a sonic adventure that moves toward psychedelic weirdness and dissonant noise, keeping listeners on their toes.

Fresh off their Breakthrough Artist nomination at the 2023 ARIA Awards and a sold-out national tour, Royel Otis is set to conquer the Australian stage once again.
