Rock out to the illustrious music back catalogue of rock legends Bon Jovi in Fyansford this weekend

Bon Jovi at Farm Aid, Champaign, Illinois, September 22, 1985 by Mark Weiss

Fans of rock legends Bon Jovi will be blown away by this top tribute band, 'Slippery and Wet'.

Fuelled by a series of huge, anthemic singles, ‘Slippery When Wet’ was the record that made Bon Jovi’s name both at home and around the world. Spawning hits ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’, ‘Wanted Dead Or Alive’, ‘Raise Your Hands’, and the momentous ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’, Slippery When Wet delivered the kind of success rock bands only dreamed of when it was released back in 1986.

As one of the biggest-selling hair metal compendiums in history, the iconic tracks about love, growing up, and the journey of life have stood the test of time, giving rise to some of the best tribute bands in the world.

Slippery and Wet is one of them, a Melbourne group delivering the ultimate Bon Jovi experience to the masses.

Staring Ange Sebastian as singer-songwriter Jon Bon Jovi, this tribute act delivers all the spirit and energy of a Bon Jovi live show, complete with big chanty vocals, ear-wormy melodies, killer acoustic riffs and all those lyrical cliches we’ve come to love in the past three decades.

Passionate and nostalgic, Slippery and Wet will remind the region just why Bon Jovi ascended to the status of rock royalty in the last three decades when they take to the Fyansford Hotel this weekend. Bringing the same energy as the arena-filling rock act to the carpark marquee on Saturday, March 13, punters will be dosed with nostalgia as they re-live hits from the Slippery When Wet album, alongside huge numbers like ‘It’s My Life’, ‘Have A Nice Day’, and ‘Always’, bolstered with a huge sound and lighting production.

Rock’n’roll bands don’t really come much bigger than Bon Jovi, and while this show might not be the real deal, they come pretty damn close. Plus, you get to spend a night singing along to the timeless classics like ‘Livin’ on a Prayer’ with your closest mates and a fully stocked bar – what more could you want?

Slippery and Wet take to The Fyansford Hotel on Saturday, March 13. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
