It's that time of year again folks, as the roots of Barwon River's closest pub are relentlessly rocked for annual festival River Rocks.
Returning for its 16th year, The Barwon Club Hotel’s annual riot of rock n roll, River Rocks, is back for an entertainment explosion. Presented by River Rocks, B. Bookings, Balter Brewery and Bad Batch Zine, the festival will be storming into the BC band room on Saturday 9 November with a gigantic lineup of loose canons.
In annual tradition, one day of rock is simply not enough, with River Rocks Rehab adding to the chiropractic bill on Sunday 10 November with a hearty lineup of legends.

Initially born out of the lack of bands bypassing Geelong and how the local music scene had seemingly dropped away, River Rocks has continually upped the ante with years past seeing the likes of Magic Dirt, the Hard-On’s, The Meanies, Rose Tattoo, The Chats, Rocket Science, Dr Colossus and Cable Ties take to the corner stage for some serious rocking action.
For the 16th celebration River Rocks 2024 have gone above and beyond with an epic lineup. Led by mighty Melbourne stoner rock outfit Dern Rutlidge, who have been in rare sights over the past decade, and punk rock roulettes Stiff Richards, the River Rocks 2024 is a marrying of classic and chaotic.
River Rocks also brings in Pat Todd and the Rankoutsiders from Los Angeles, returning legends Los Chicos from Spain, Dick Move from New Zealand and Aussie annihilators Split System, Step Mother, Hot Machine, Goutlaw, The Double Agents, Licklash and The Miffs. Grindhouse, Alarms, Chimers, Fly!, Dukes of Deliciousness and Clifford Parade round out the rocks day one.

Moving into Sunday’s hangover, River Rocks Rehab delivers yet again as Melbourne punks Private Function fill the void. Never getting enough of the River Rocks ruckus, Los Chicos will jump up again, as will Grindhouse. Neo-bush balladeer Watty Thompson, It Thing, Budd, Jaded, Snake Powder, Chrome Gypsy and DJ Rory Fang It round out the ripper weekend festivities.
It’s a giant return for the beloved River Rocks festival!
