Sofar Sounds is launching in our beautiful regional city this July with its first show on the 21st.
Connecting artists and audiences through unique live music experiences and artist services, Sofar Sounds is expanding across Australia this year.
Making a name for itself by staging secret gigs and intimate concerts, Sofar Sounds has brought music and people together for over ten years across more than 400 cities in 78 countries around the world, including throughout Australia in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Gold Coast. Sofar Sounds now is turning the spotlight on Geelong, Wollongong, Newcastle, Canberra and the Sunshine Coast.

Sofar fills rooms in cities around the world with attentive audiences seeking to discover new music so artists can focus on their craft, connect with fans and earn money. Sofar shows take place in unexpected spaces, to a room full of potential new fans as three secret rising artists are presented at an undisclosed venue.
Arriving in our regional city for the very first time, Sofar will be staging an intimate concert in Geelong on Friday, 21 July at a secret location. All we know so far is that the nearest train station is North Geelong, with the specific address to be revealed 36 hours before the gig.
From 7:30pm, here you’ll see two or three short sets from incredible performers from all musical genres, and sometimes even spoken word, comedy or dance. Each show’s lineup is curated by our artist booking team to be diverse and varied.

Celebrating an even bigger capacity to deliver these unique musical experiences across Australia, Sofar has also teamed up with international label Nettwerk to curate a national tour featuring local standouts and Sofar discoveries.
As with all Sofar shows, the venues will remain a secret, however the usual mystery around the acts performing is lifted with Sofar Sounds announcing an exciting all-Australian line-up including Hayden Calnin, Hazlett, and Paige Valentine to visit seven Sofar Sounds city in Australia.
