Queenscliff Distillery has taken home awards for each of their gins at the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards

A huge win for the small boutique distillery.

They might be small and local, but they are standing out against most craft distilleries in Australia!

Queenscliff’s newest local distillery, the Queenscliff Distillery, took home a medal for each of their gins last night at the Australian Distilled Spirits Awards!

The small and boutique distillery is located underground in an old beer and spirit cellar at the Queenscliff Brewhouse. Using a sugar base, their Gins lean on the sweeter side and use a unique blend of botanicals that set them apart. They hand zest our fruit and botanicals, hand bottle & label, making sure only the best product is put to the market.

Their amazing distiller Tristan is clearly doing a good job, because Thursday night they took home four medals at the Australian Distilled Spirit Awards! Taking a medal for EACH of their gins, the distillery managed to nab a place in four of the seven categories open to gin distilleries.

Their Citrus Gin, Navy Gin and Barrel Aged Gin all took out silver medals, while the distillery scored a bronze medal for their Dry Gin.

We’re no experts in the world of awards, but we think that’s a pretty damn impressive effort!

The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria received 619 entries this year for the prestigious awards, an increase of 80% on 2019 and up from 115 when they were first held in 2015. In his first year as Head Judge, Sebastian (Seb) Costello led the largest judging team ever assembled for the Awards, with 41 industry experts assessing the 619 products. For a full rundown of the results, check out the ADS Awards website.

If you’re keen to try this award-winning gin, you’ll be able to find them at all good bottle shops throughout the Bellarine, and at the Queenscliff Brewhouse, the Great Ocean Road Brewhouse and the Timboon Railway Shed Distillery. You can also check out their website if you’re wanting to buy direct.

You can find the Queenscliff Distillery at the Queenscliff Brewhouse, 2 Gellibrand St, Queenscliff.
