Public voting is open for the 2022 Geelong Calendar, showcasing our stunning region and talented local photographers

A shortlist is now open to a public vote.

Replacing those cute kittens and motivational messages with stunning landscapes and natural beauties from the towns, cities and countries we love, the City of Greater Geelong’s annual calendar competition has returned, calling for local amateur and professional photographers to submit their best snaps for us locals to hang in our homes for 2022.

The key takeaways

  • The Geelong calendar competition is now open for public vote.
  • After receiving more than 1300 entries, the City of Greater Geelong has shortlisted two photos per month.
  • Calendars will be delivered mid-December and additional copies will be available from January.

Keep up with the latest in local news via our website.

Designed to discover the very best of our region, the competition attracts hundreds as snappers try their hand at producing one of the final 13 images that get selected for the calendar, which is free of charge for residents and delivered to over 110,000 residents’ homes and the City’s customer service and leisure centres.

The last couple of months have seen the city calling for shutterbugs to share their ‘uniquely Geelong’ images for a chance to be featured in the next calendar, and now the results are in.

After receiving more than 1300 entries, they have shortlisted 26 images, two photos per month, as well as two cover photo options and the city are calling for the public to vote for their favourite photo for each month.

From the stunning cover image and all the way through to December, the images capture everything that makes up our beautiful region, with the inclusion of landscapes, architecture and urban space, nature, and events and people.

Calendars will be delivered mid-December and additional copies will be available from January.
