Port Fairy Folk Festival has announced its full festival lineup for March

The magical four-day festival returns in full-strength in March 2023.

One month to go until festival goers and music lovers alike can experience Australia’s favourite folk festival by the sea Port Fairy Folk Festival. Today the festival has offered up its final musical artist lineup, bigger and better than ever.

An experience like no other, from 10 – 13 March the beautiful seaside township will be bustling with international and local artists, art and culture to entertain the whole family.

Alongside live performances from artists from around the world, the kid’s program invites children to get involved in the Folkie fun with engaging and interactive activities from Krazy Koala Puppet Show, Tim Credible the Magician, Woody’s World, Happy Hoop Workshop, Bush Wahzee, Connected Circus and more. In addition to this, there will be a new kid’s area featuring mini golf and other activities to keep everyone entertained! Kids aged 12 and under are granted free entry to the festival with a parent or guardian.

Included in the annual event is the epic Archie Roach Foundation stage line-up which will include performances from Andrew Gurruwiwi, Birdz and Fred Leone, Bumpy, Dobby, Emma Donovan’s Follow The Sun kid’s show, Gina Williams and Guy Ghouse, Nancy Bates and Tabitha Lean, Pirritu, and Radical Son as well as workshops, conversations, and a tribute to the namesake of the foundation stage, Uncle Archie Roach.

Program director Justin Rudge said: “We are so thrilled to be back and firing on all cylinders in 2023! All the wonderful elements our loyal audience adores about the Folkie are here – local culture, songs and stories, international artists, emerging youth artists, and a jam-packed kids and family program. Following on from our award-winning festival in 2022, we can’t wait to present a world class major event in Port Fairy.”

The Port Fairy Folk Festival is truly unique in its ability to engage audiences from far and wide, all of which come together to celebrate community and the amazing melting pot of artists, musicians, food, and fun in the beautiful seaside surrounds of Port Fairy, Victoria.
