The self titled Ukiyo LP is a collection of 13 blissful electronic tracks.

If getting people to move their bodies was the mission, 23-year-old Perth electronic producer Ukiyo has well and truly accomplished it with his debut LP.

Transporting listeners on a cosmic journey with expansive electronic productions and mesmerizing vocals, the Perth-based artist Timothy Arnott, has created a captivating and beautiful album that collection of tracks that’s totally unique and brimming with life.

Perhaps the best thing about the 13 track release is that it’s a truly beautiful celebration of the Aussie music scene. The dazzlingly euphoric release is imbued with that spirit of collaboration, with the voices and textures of Bajillionaire and Brewer, Panama, Maribelle, Janeva, Sammi Constantine, Isla and Feelds, to the mixing and mastering efforts of Tim Watt (Golden Features, MUTO, Hermitude, Crooked Colours) and Wayne Sutherland (What So Not, Motez, Willaris K).

“I’ve always been completely in love with the Australian music scene, so I knew that in my unique position as a producer I wanted to showcase some of the incredible upcoming Australian artists when it came around to creating my album. Everything from production, to features, mixing, mastering, artwork is all 100% Australian.  I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and I hope I can finally take people on the journey I’ve always wanted to through this music,” Ukiyo explains.

To celebrate the release of the LP and Ukiyo’s knack for getting the best out of his collaborators, we’ve had the prolific producer put together a playlist of his favourite tracks from his guest artists.

Isla
Jesse Porches – Say it To Me (feat. Brasska)

Holly’s incredible voice and songwriting stood out to me so much on this track and it was the reason I reached out to her with the Equi demo.

FEELDS
FEELDS – Circle

I love this track off his ‘Hunch’ EP so much, I even made a remix of it which I’ve played at a couple shows in the past. FEELDS’ original tracks are so beautiful and really shows his range as a vocalist and songwriter.

JANEVA:
Hutcher – Last Time (feat. JANEVA)

Good house vibes and Janeva’s incredible vocals bring it to life. A great one to get a party started.

Maribelle
Young Franco – Miss You (feat. Maribelle)

One of my favourite electronic tracks of all time so I knew I wanted to work on a song with Maribelle as soon as I could. She’s an incredible songwriter.

Panama
Poolside & Panama – Can’t Stop Your Lovin’

I’ve been playing this song non-stop since the summer sun started to hit. Just an absolute bop & even cooler since Panama showed me a little insight into how the track was formed.

Sammi Constantine
Sammi Constantine – Growing Pains

Sammi keeps it real & honest about her past and current issues and this song is another insight into that. I love her honesty, we haven’t met in person yet but I’m sure we’d get along well.

Bajillionaire
Bajillionaire – Sleepwalking (feat. Brewer)

I love this song so much and it was definitely what got my eyes set on both Bajillionaire and Brewer. Gives me big Chelsea Cutler & Chet Porter vibes which is definitely a good thing.

Brewer
Brewer – Dawned on Me

I love weird pop & strong vocals with something different about them so this song ticked those boxes and made me certain I wanted to fit Brewer on the album.
