The Geelong Animal Welfare Society is hosting a Charity Dog Walk, PAWS for GAWS on Sunday 3rd March, 2024 in the Eastern Gardens.
Prepare to put your best paw forward as the Geelong Animal Welfare Society (GAWS) hosts PAWS for GAWS, a charity dog walk event that promises a delightful blend of community spirit and a commitment to animal welfare.
Scheduled for Sunday, 3rd March 2024, at the picturesque Eastern Gardens and along the stunning Geelong Waterfront, this event is set to be a tail-wagging good time for all involved.

Participants will embark on a joyful 4km stroll along the Geelong Waterfront and through Eastern Gardens, starting from the Eastern Park BBQ Area adjacent to the Botanical Gardens at 11:00 am.
For more than 65 years, GAWS has been a beacon of hope and care for animals in the Geelong region, dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families and finding forever homes for those in need. Their mission is to promote the welfare and value of companion animals for the benefit of the entire community.
PAWS for GAWS is not just a charity walk; it’s a celebration of the special bond between humans and their four-legged companions. Set against the backdrop of Eastern Gardens and the stunning Geelong Waterfront, the walk promises to be a fun day out for pets and their human friends alike.
Hosting the day will be Roxie Bennett, while a performance will be delivered by Kim Cooper. Known and loved in Geelong, Roxie is a familiar face and a passionate community advocate, serving on numerous boards and committees. With three adorable dogs of her own Peral, Coco and Piper, she truly embodies the spirit of PAWS for GAWS. As for Kim, she is a sensational local singer known for her captivating melodies and dynamic stage presence.
